Wild Side Specialty Tours. This Oahu west-side charter follows the wild spinner dolphins that make their home in calm bays.

Marine biologists conduct the tours, adding a depth of knowledge not found with regular boat captains. While on some excursions, the owners themselves head the cast.

The biologists also evaluate the dolphins' mood; when the animals are playful and open to interaction, you are allowed to jump in and snorkel with them. If the dolphins seem strained or agitated, then the best experience is from the boat.

Wild Side offers morning, afternoon, and evening sails with meals on their 42-foot catamaran with a maximum load of only half the boats carrying capacity. Rates for the four-hour sail begin at $105 per person.

Wild Side also participate in conservation and resource management of local marine habitats, as well as cooperate with Oahu's Wild Dolphin Foundation, studying behavior, ecology and the natural history of whales, dolphins, turtles, coral reefs and other marine life in Hawaii.
